Qualifications for Fellow and Diplomate Status in the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association ® (IMDHA)
All applicants for Fellow and Diplomate status must be members of the IMDHA in good standing for a minimum of three years.
Announcement of awards will be made at the Annual IMDHA Conference.
CEO has veto power for any nomination.
Diplomate:
- Diplomate is an honorary designation for extraordinary service and accomplishments in the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association® and the world of Hypnosis. There are no fees required.
- Diplomates are to be chosen from those who have been IMDHA Fellows for at least two (2) years. In rare circumstances the Fellow/Diplomate Selection Committee and the CEO may select a person for Diplomate who is not a Fellow if he/she is approved unanimously.
- Diplomates are selected by one of two methods.
- (One) Selected by the CEO of IMDHA for distinguished service to IMDHA or in recognition of notable achievements in the area of Hypnosis, counseling or education or significant public or professional recognition for their work.
- (Two) Selected by majority vote of the Fellow/Diplomate Selection Committee.
- Diplomates receive a beautifully engraved plaque acknowledging them as a Diplomate.
Fellow:
- The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association® (IMDHA) offer the title of Fellow to those with outstanding professional achievement in the field of hypnotherapy.
- Any member of IMDHA may nominate an IMDHA Hypnotherapist and/or Educator for Fellow classification. A nomination for Fellow should be submitted at least five (5) months prior to the annual IMDHA Conference; however the CEO of IMDHA may waive the five-month requirement.
- The member nominating someone for Fellow should provide examples of the individual’s professional achievements, such as published works, articles and/or books, awards or honors received, positions held and any other helpful information to aid in the decision making process.
- Fellows are selected by one of two methods:
- (One) Selected by the CEO of IMDHA for distinguished service to IMDHA or in recognition of notable achievements in the area of Hypnosis, counseling or education or significant public or professional recognition for their work; and selected by unanimous vote.
- (Two) Selected by majority vote of the Fellow/Diplomate Selection Committee.
- Fellow status is recognition of service and accomplishments in IMDHA and the world of Hypnosis. There are no fees required.
- Fellows receive a beautifully engraved plaque acknowledging them as Fellows.
